• 국립고궁박물관은 광복 60주년인 2005년 8월 15일 설립되었습니다.
  왕실 유물의 과학적이고 체계적인 보존과 복원을 통해 다양하고 시기적절한 왕실 문화 전시회를 기획하고 있으며, 전시 유물의 확대를 위해 꾸준히 왕실 소장품을 확대하고 있습니다. 또한 왕실 문화를 주제로 한 다양한 교육 프로그램도 운영하고 있고 국내외 왕실문화기관과의 교류를 촉진하기 위해 많은 노력을 기울이고 있습니다.
• Summary information

On August 15, 2005, the 60th anniversary of Korea's liberation, the National Palace Museum took its first step. It has the highest level of culture and spirit in the Joseon Dynasty
Through the scientific and systematic preservation and restoration of royal relics, We plan various and timely royal cultural exhibitions, We are steadily expanding the royal collection to expand the exhibition relics.

It also runs various educational programs on the theme of royal culture
We have also made great efforts to promote exchanges with domestic and foreign royal cultural institutions.

Admission is free of charge, and the operating hours are from 10:00.~18:00 Wednesday, Saturday 10:00~21:00

Joseon Dynasty

In the late 14th century, Yi Seonggye gathered the proreform powers to found a new dynasty and moved the capital to Hanyang in 1394 in an effort to weaken supporters of the old Goryeo dynasty. With Neo- Confucianism as the politica of the state , the Josen dynasty governed the local administrative bodies through a centralized political system, and reinforced appointment of yangban bureaucrats based on individual capbility through the covil service examination.
