[Changgyeonggung Palace] 종묘에서 창경궁 까지 궁궐담장길 걷기

 

 

최근에 일제 강점기에 끊어졌던 창경궁과 종묘를 연결하는 복원사업이 마무리되어 종묘에서 창경궁으로 바로 갈 수 있는 궁궐 담장길이 90년 만에 복원되었다 덕분에 종묘 관람 후 바로 창경궁으로 걸어서 갈 수 있게 되었다.

Recently, the restoration project linking Changgyeonggung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine, which was discontinued during the Japanese colonial period.
Thanks to this, I could walk to Changgyeonggung Palace right after visiting Jongmyo Shrine.

창경궁은 창덕궁의 부족한 생활공간을 보충하여 왕과 왕비뿐 아니라 후궁, 공주, 궁인의 처소로도 사용했다. 경복궁처럼 일정한 원칙을 좇아 경영된 궁궐과 달리, 창경궁은 건축 형식과 제도 면에서 비교적 자유롭게 세워지고 이용된 궁궐이었다. 아름다운 자연과 어우러진 창경궁의 모습에서 왕실 생활의 체취를 느낄 수 있다.

Having served as auxiliary facilities beause of lack of adequate living space in Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung was used as a residential area for concubines, princesses, and lady attendants at the palace.
Changggyeonggung allows us to experience royal life as it was hundreds of years ago.

일본은 풍수지리상 북한산의 기운이 흐르는 창경궁과 종묘 사이를 끊음으로써 조선의 국운도 함께 꺾고자 했다. 그리하여 본래 하나의 숲으로 이어져 있었던 창경궁과 종묘는 1932년 이후 종묘 관통도로(지금의 율곡로) 개통으로 인해 단절되어 있었다
Japan wanted to break the national fortunes of Joseon by cutting off the Changgyeonggung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine, where the energy of Bukhansan Mountain flows.

종묘에서 나오면 보행자의 편의를 위하여 차량 통행이 하지 않는 서순라길로 갈 수 있다. 서순라길에는 괜찮은 카페나 술집 , 음식점이 많아 보였다 시간이 넉넉하면 종묘 담장을 보면서 커피 타임을 가지면 좋을 것 같다.

When you come out of Jongmyo, you can go to Seosula-gil, where vehicles do not pass, for the convenience of pedestrians. There seemed to be many good cafes, bars, and restaurants in Seosoula-gil If you have enough time, it would be good to have a coffee time while looking at the Jongmyo fence.

종묘 외곽 담장에 이상한 문양이 있어서 보니 일본이 남긴 악행 중 하나였다. 종묘 외곽담장을 둘러 일왕 히로히토의 연호인 쇼와로 개축 연도를 새겨놓았다.
There were strange patterns on the fence outside Jongmyo Shrine.
It was an evil deed of Japan. The year of reconstruction was inscribed with the name of Emperor Hirohito, Showa, surrounding the outer wall of Jongmyo Shrine.

 

서순라길을 지나 이 계단을 올라가면 율곡로 위를 지나는 궁궐 담장길이 나온다.
Passing through Seosula-gil and going up these stairs, you will find the palace wall road that passes over Yulgok-ro.

창경궁과 종묘 간 340m 길이의 사잇길인 궁궐담장길의 조경이 참 좋아서 방문객이 적은 시간대에는 조용히 산책하기에 좋은 길인 것 같다.
The view of the palace wall road, a 340m-long intersection between Changgyeonggung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine, is very good, so it seems to be a good way to take a quiet walk during the time when there are few visitors.

 

기존의 율곡로는 지화화 되면서 보행자들도 지나다닐 수 있는 터널이 생겼다.

창경궁도 종묘와 마찬가지로 저렴한 가격 성인 1명 1000원이다.
Like Jongmyo Shrine, Changgyeonggung Palace is 1,000 won per adult at a low price.

현재 창경궁의 정문은 복원 공사 중인 것 같다.
Currently, the main gate of Changgyeonggung Palace seems to be under restoration work.

 

창경궁 통명전은 일상 생활공간으로 왕과 왕비의 침실로 사용했다.

Tongmyeongjeon Hall in Changgyeonggung Palace was used as a living space for a bedroom for the king and queen.

아쉽게도 창경궁과 이어지는 창덕궁 함양문을 5시까지 통과해야되서 자세히 둘러보지 못하고
1997년 유네스코 세계유산으로 등록된 창덕궁으로 향했다.
Unfortunately, I had to pass through Hamyang Gate of Changdeokgung Palace by 5 o'clock, so I couldn't take a closer look, headed to Changdeokgung Palace, which was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
