부산 UN공원은 한국전쟁 중 전사한 유엔군 전몰장병들을 안장하기 위해 유엔군 사령부에 의해 조성된 세계유일의 
유엔기념묘지이자 성지이다. 한국전쟁 당시, 대한민국을 지원한 국가는 총 22개국으로 총11개국 2,300여명이 안장되어있다고 한다. 

Busan UN Park is the only park in the world built by the UN Command to bury UN soldiers killed during the Korean War
It is a U.N. cemetery and a sacred place. During the Korean War, a total of 22 countries supported the Republic of Korea, with a total of 2,300 people buried in 11 countries.

• 유엔기념공원 안내 INFORMATION

한국전쟁 당시, 대한민국을 지원한 국가는 총 22개국으로 전투지원은 총16개국으로 호주, 벨기에, 캐나다, 콜롬비아, 에티오피타, 프랑스, 그리스, 룩셈부르크, 네덜란다, 뉴질랜드, 필리핀, 남아프리카공화국, 태국, 터키, 영국, 미국
의료지원은 총6개국으로 덴마크, 독일, 인도, 이탈리아, 노르웨이, 스웨덴이다. 

During the Korean War, there were 22 countries that supported the Republic of Korea, and 16 countries supported the war, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Ethiopia, France, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, Britain, and the United States

Medical support  were 6 countries including Denmark, Germany, India, Italy, Norway, and Sweden.

 

• 상징구역   Symbolic Area . Main Grave Area

  상징구역에는 유엔기와 참전국 22개국의 국기, 그리고 대한민국의 국기가 계양되어 있다. 주묘역은 한국전에 참전한 유엔군 전몰장병이 잠들어 있는 곳으로, 각 국가별 묘역에는 전사자의 묘, 또는 기념비가 자리하고 있다. 

in the Symbolic Area, the national flags of the 22 sending - states, Republic of Korea, and a UN flag fly everyday above the interred from the 11 nations. Most commemoration events are held in this area as well.

in the Main Grave Area rest the majority of the fallen from Australia, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Turkiye, The U.K
as well as the U.S veterans.

 

• 추모관  Memorial Service Hall

한국전쟁에서 전사한 유엔군 전몰장병들의 영령을 추모하기 위하여 1964년 8월 21일 유엔이 건립한 건축물이다
한국의 유명한 건축가 김중업이 전몰장병들의 다양한 종교적 배경을 감안해서 설계한 것으로 추상성, 영원성을 강조하는
기하학적인 삼각형태와 더불어 스테인드 글라스에는 평화의사도 , 승화, 전쟁의 참상, 사랑과 평화등의 의미가 담겨있다.
또한 약 12분간 상영되는 한국전쟁과 우리 공원의 역사에 관한 다큐멘터리는 참배객들에게 한국전쟁과 유엔군에 대한 이해를 돕는 중요한 역할을 하고 있다.

The Memorial Service Hall was designed and built by a Korean architect, Joong - up KIM in 1964, its triangular, geometric support columns symbolically represent eternal tributes paid to the fallen UN troops. Its stained glass symbolizes apostles of peace, the sublime, tragedies of war, love, and peace. Splendid stained glass and soft interior highlighting blend well together to express the fallen's desire for peace. a 12 - minute documentary on the Koean War and the UNMCK is shown in the Hall.

UN 기

1968년 유엔이 건립한 건물로 한국전쟁 당시 유엔군 사령부가 최초로 사용한 유엔기를 비롯해 유엔군 사진자료 및 기념물과 함께 알파벳순으로 각 참전국별 유엔군의 활약상이 담긴 사진, 기념 유품, 방문기념패 등이 전시되어 있다. 뿐만 아니라
1959년에 유엔과 대한민국사이에 체결된 <재한 국제연합묘지 설치 및 유지에 관한 국제연합과 대한민국간의협정>
원본이 조정되어 있다.

The exhibits in the Hall include the UN flag used by the UN Command during the Korean War and a variety of UN troop
pictures taken during the war as well as related memorabillia.

Moreover, there is the original copy of the "Agreement Between the United Nations and the Republic of Korea for the 
Establishment and Maintenane of a United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea", which documents the historical background of this one- of-a-kind place.

• 무명용사의 길  Unknown Soldiers ' Pathway
  
  

유엔군 위령탑 아래 쪽에 위치한 수로이다. 이 무명용사의 길 양쪽에는 각각 11개의 물 계단, 11개의 분수, 그리고
11그루의 소나무있다. 이는 유엔기념 공원에 전몰장병이 안장된 11개국을 표현한다.

A path stretching from the UN Forces Mounment has been construced. Each side of the Unknown Soldier's Pathway consists of 11 cascades, 11 fountains, and 11 pine trees, representing the 11 nations who have soldiers interred at the
UNMCK.

1978년 한국정부가 건립한 조형물로 정면에 평화를 상징하는 비둘기가 조각되어있으며 벽면에는 각 나라별 전투지원
내역과 전사자 숫자가 동판에 새겨져 있다.  

Built by the Korean government in 1978, a dove symbolizing peace is carved in front of it, and the walls support each country's fighting. The details and the number of the dead are engraved on the copperplate.
